Cartography of Memories is a writing workshop that invites participants to explore memory through the topography of the city. The workshop aims to open a creative space to rethink our personal memories and experiences by drawing inspiration from various cartographic representations and maps of Istanbul from different centuries.

By intertwining the city and memory, the workshop aims to explore the possibilities of crafting a different narrative about ourselves and our past. It offers to experience writing beyond its main function of expression; as a tool for remembering, making sense, analyzing, distancing if needed, confronting, refreshing and healing.
